“Money can make folk act funny!”

Part 5 just solidified Parts 1-4. Moving to the Next Level has been a series with thoughtful, power-provoking words that get your attention. Not only did Pastor say "It’s Time to Take a Praise Break," he clarified: WE NEED A PRAISE BREAK.
Periodic checks and praise breaks provide for:
1. A time of renewal
2. A time to refocus
3. A time for reflection

The best take-away: "WE NEED A PRAISE BREAK TO BE REMINDED OF WHO WE ARE AND WHOSE WE ARE!”
​
The message told us to come out swinging; now was not the time to chill. When we think of how good God has been to us, we can only offer praise. He is a God on the move, not stagnate, but always doing a new thing.
​

Pastor Deborah Valrie is both preacher and teacher. Her message was timely and hit home for many of the listeners. It never fails, the message she brings is always timely and thought provoking.

1. You’re only as Rich as Your Faith!
2. How God Measures Faith!
3. God’s Planned for You to Prosper

Sermon Title: How We Got Over
Scripture: Deuteronomy 7:7-9 (NRSV)
​
“How I got over; how I made it over; my soul looks back in wonder, how I got over!”
When you mistreat other human beings you are in essence mistreating God and God’s investment! Don’t waste God’s investment
The three takeaway points were:
1. God values us!
2. God never discounted us!
3. God loves us!
The series ended, but this new message feels like history – good history. Pastor G reminded us that we must know where we’ve been so we’ll know where we are going. This message says God values us and loves us. We should always remember the Golden Rule – Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. In other words, treat people the way you want to be treated. “When you mistreat other human beings you are in essence mistreating God.” We are God’s investment! And when God makes an investment how can you possibly be discounted.
​

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.”
“Seniors are to be respected and honored.”
Pastor Tyrone Gordon brought Black History home! “Those who paved the way!” was a powerful sermon that reminded us we didn’t get here by ourselves. It was the struggle, the fight, and the tenacity of our fore mothers and fathers that has gotten us here.

1. The price that was paid
2. The debt we owe
3. The praise we give
