The Preached Word – Pastor Tyrone Gordon

Sermon Title: But If Not…
Scripture: Daniel 3:13-18

We’ve all heard the Bible story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and how they were summoned by Nebuchadnezzar who demanded that they serve his gods.  Well, if you heard the story you know they refused and chose to be thrown into the fiery furnace. Pastor Gordon gave an outstanding account of the three Hebrew men who stood their ground and refused to worship any god but the God our father. They believed that God would save them and said He would. What was most resounding was this: "But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

The message Pastor G delivered was very powerful. He shared these three points:
1. Have faith to stand courageously through threats!
2. Have faith to stand regardless of consequences!
3. Have faith to stand for principles – not just for miracles!

Sorry if you missed this great word from God. However, join us this Sunday as Pastor Gordon once again steps into the pulpit to preach God’s word. Worship celebration begins at 10 a.m. each Sunday. See you there!

The Preached Word – Pastor Tyrone Gordon

Sermon Title:  Let That Go!
Scripture: Matthew 5:38-48

What can we say? How many of us have had things happen to us that was all but impossible to let go? Pastor Gordon’s timely message gave us something to think about. He said that we live in a very vengeful culture and although we ain’t unhappy when someone reaps what they sow, we cannot allow ourselves to be strangled by vindictiveness, hatred and revenge.  …In scripture Jesus warns us about revenge. "Do not repay anyone evil for evil… Do not take revenge… but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, ’Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.’” Romans 12:17.

The three points about letting go reminds us:
1. Liberates Us
2. Restores Us!
3. Empowers Us!

Once and again, if you missed this great word from God you missed thought provoking words of encouragement and a reminder that God is always at your six. So, please join us this Sunday as Pastor Gordon once again steps into the pulpit to preach God’s word. Worship celebration begins at 10 a.m. each Sunday. See you there, or join us as we stream live on Facebook.

The Preached Word – Minister Deborah Valrie

Sermon Title: “Who is Your God?"
Scripture: Joshua 24:13-15

What a thought-provoking message: "Who is your God?" Pastor Deborah shared with us that we can, and must, choose to serve God. She had many points, but the main four were as follows:

1. You Have A Choice!
2. But, Choosing Isn’t Optional!!
3. Your Choice  =  Your Consequences!!!
4. Can You Change Your Choice????

Number one – YES, you have a choice; Number two – You have to choose, there is no getting around it.  Number three – you alone are responsible for your choice and your choice comes with consequences.  Finally, Number 4 – YES, you can change your choice.

Joshua 24:15 resonated with all who heard Pastor Valrie – “but, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”  Enough said!

It goes without saying, if you weren’t at TLC this past Sunday, you must remedy that by joining us this Sunday as Pastor Gordon once again steps into the pulpit to preach God’s word. Worship celebration begins at 10 a.m. each Sunday. See you there of join us live on Facebook
