Sermon Title: “It’s On!”
Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-18a
It goes without saying: Pastor Gordon brought the WORD! I’m sure you have heard the sermon about “Putting on the Whole Armor of God.” It is a sermon that gives you a lot to think about: the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Righteousness - you know the rest. Basically, he told us in order to fight you have to know your adversary, dress appropriately and stand your ground! Finally, he reminded us that we are dealing with evil on all fronts so we must put our war clothes on.

FAMILY FUN DAY NEEDS VOLUNTEERS: We're looking for volunteers to support our Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 15, at TLC Fellowship. We'll be serving families from our church as well as the surrounding area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day, offering up food, games and fun! Stop by the Welcome table for more details.

HWYG FUNDRAISER SET FOR JULY 20: Hanging With Your Girlfriend will host a fundraising event for TLC on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will have spoken word, jazz, art, authors, and more. Tickets are $15 per person. Vendor space is $25 per table. Stay tuned for more information.

LADIES, JOIN THE GATHERING: Do you need to refresh, reset or restart? Join hundreds of North Texas women for The Gathering, a day-long inspirational event June 8. Hosted by Renee Langie, this event will feature a number of motivational speakers and spiritual leaders. Individual and group tickets are available at the event's website.

The TLC Events & Conference Center continues to schedule great events for our community; see Yolanda Perez for available dates. The ECC team is still offering a great referral deal: If you refer up to 5 individuals to lease the space, you'll receive $50 for every booked event! (Visit their page on Facebook!)

Scripture: Acts 2:1-21
Sermon Title: Living Under of the Influence
Pastor Gordon’s sermon this past Sunday gave us food for thought. Did you know that Pentecost is the birthday of the church and, that Pentecost and Easter go hand in hand? The sermon was on point, but one of the biggest take aways was this: “Every Christian ought to have a Pentecostal experience and every church ought to be a Pentecostal Church!”
The three points he shared were:
When you live under the influence:
1. You become a barrier breaker
2. You do things you once thought could not be done
3. You see things from a different perspective
It must be said, each Sunday the word is shared and each Sunday we learn more about God and his plan for us. If you want to hear more dynamic sermons, join us each Sunday at 10 a.m. and hear another timely, and inspiring, message.
WOMEN'S RETREAT SET FOR AUG. 16-18: The Women of Purpose will host their annual retreat on August 16-18. This year's theme will be "Order My Steps: Living out God's Purpose for your Life through Faith, Focus and God's Favor." The cost of the retreat is $125, which covers lodging, meals and retreat materials. More details to come.

FOCUSING ON FINANCIAL SUPPORT IN JULY: Next month, we'll focus on how we can better support our TLC Fellowship church and family with several fundraiser events. All members are asked to turn in their Moriah Pledges by July 7. On July 27, TLC will host a benefit concert, featuring talented singers and musicians. Stay tuned for details.

Last Sunday was something special, and another reminder that the Lord continues to bless our TLC ministry team and family. After a time of wonderful worship music, Pastor G turned our attention to another way we can worship God: with our lives! His words, and some powerful testimonies by those in attendance, left a big impression with most in attendance.
​
Pastor G's main sermon points on how we can turn wounds into worship:
1. Confront the demons and issues that confront us!
2. Don’t allow others to write your agenda!
3. Don’t allow faults to turn you into a failure!
​

MORIAH PROJECT RAISES FUNDS FOR TLC: Senior Pastor Tyrone Gordon presented a challenge to TLC Fellowship at the Worship Service on June 9 -- what he deemed as the Moriah Project. This "ask" to our members and visitors was to pledge $500, $300, $200, or $100 above normal giving. Eight individuals pledged, exceeding Pastor Gordon's expectation, but we are only 51% to our goal of $13,500. The funds collected July 7 will enable TLC to meet its financial obligations through September.

Sermon Title: Don’t Miss Your Blessing!
“Don’t Miss Your Blessing!” -- what a wonderful message! Pastor Gordon did what Pastor Gordon always does – brought the word and made it plain. We can miss our blessings by expecting it to do, look, or be what we want and not what God wants for us. We can block our blessings by thinking too highly, or too lowly of ourselves.
​
The three points Pastor G shared that could serve as blessing blockers were:
1. Arrogance!
2. Inflexibility!
3. A False Sense of Entitlement!
