Sermon Title: Where is the Love?
Scripture: John 13:33-35
“My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

In keeping with his way of delivering the message online, or in person, Pastor Tyrone D. Gordon put us all on notice. I won’t bore you with my biased recap, but I invite you to visit our Facebook page and view the sermon. By the way, there are 23 sermons just waiting for you to love and learn from.

The three take away points were:
1. Love radically
2. Love unconditionally
3. Love sacrificially

No explanation necessary. Jesus loves us radically. He loves us unconditionally. And, He gave His life for us so we know he loves us SACRIFICIALLY.

TLC, our MISSION is to present the gospel passionately as we love people unconditionally and develop disciples who live transformationally in the world! Pastor Tyrone D. Gordon shared with us that Jesus is calling us to put our mission into action. We are to go into the world and share God’s word but, we are to not blend in – we are to STAND OUT!
He continued by reminding us that we are the salt. We are game-changers and we are to be a blessing to others. As I said last week, I won’t bore you with my biased recap. Still, I invite you to visit our FB page and view this sermon and others.

Sermon Title: Dealing with Deferred Dreams
Scripture: Luke 24:13-25a, 30-32

“But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel.”
This past Sunday, Pastor Gordon blessed us with a powerful word. He posited: DEALING WITH DEFERRED DREAMS.
We’ve all been there. Something, or someone, often gets in our way and defers our dreams/usurps our plans. Pastor quoted the Langston Hughes poem:
“What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore -- and then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar over -- like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sags -- like a heavy load. Or does it explode?"

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes."
​
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?"
​
Whenever Pastor Derrick Wright steps into the pulpit to share a word from God, you had better get your pen and paper ready. This past Sunday Pastor Wright asked, “How Do You Handle it?”
​
His three take-away points were:
1. It Came to Test!
2. It Came to Teach!
3. It Came to Pass!

“COVID19 has changed life as we know it!” That was the opening of Pastor G’s sermon, and that is a fact. He says that God is doing something, preparing us for something… He talked about how stressful this has been for everyone and reminded us THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD AND ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. But, let me get to the three points:
​
1. Survival is not an option, but a necessity
2. Don’t let this delay derail your destiny
3. God will never lead you where he cannot keep you
​
